These terms govern reporting work commissioned from Service Craftline. They are not a substitute for an engagement letter on a named portfolio.
Acceptance
By asking us to start on a file, paying a deposit, or using this website to request a pack, you accept these terms. If an engagement letter conflicts with this page, the letter wins for that commission.
The work
We prepare written performance and risk papers from information you supply. We do not provide regulated investment advice, custody, brokerage, or a continuing feed of prices. Deliverables are the documents named in the letter, usually a PDF and an optional review call.
Your materials
You warrant that you may send us holdings, transactions, and comparator series, and that doing so does not breach a custodian, administrator, or index-house licence. You remain responsible for redacting names you do not wish us to see.
Intellectual property
The house layout, exhibit numbering style, and method notes remain ours. You may circulate the finished pack inside the organisation that commissioned it and to its professional advisers. You may not resell the pack, reuse the layout as your own product, or remove captions that record our method.
Accuracy and liability
We take reasonable care to match exhibits to the file we were given. We are not the valuer of unlisted assets. If a price is missing or stale, the pack will say so. Our liability for a commission is limited to the fees paid for that commission, except where the law of England and Wales does not allow a limit (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Confidentiality
Holdings files are stored only as long as needed to prepare the pack, answer a follow-up on the same period, and meet record-keeping required by law. We do not use a client’s figures in marketing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of the United Kingdom have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief elsewhere to protect confidential files.
